Dr. Sham Sunder

Prof. Dr. Sham Sunder is the famous name in the field of Nephrology. He has done his MBBS from Maulana Azad Medical College, MD in General Medicine from Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital and DM in Nephrology from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. Dr. Sham Sunder has attended several conferences in the field of Nephrology. He is the member of various nephrological societies; some of them are Society of Nephrology, Indian Society of Nephrology, International Society of Peritoneal Dialysis and Association of Physician of India. He has published approximately 40 publications in International & National Journals and authored several chapters in medical textbooks. He has a vast teaching experience of more than 20 years for postgraduate students and 12 years of experience as post-doctoral teaching. Formerly, he served as a specialist in various multispecialty hospitals like AIIMS, RML Hospital, Safdarjung Hospital, DDU Hospital, and LNJP Hospital, New Delhi. Presently he is serving as a senior consultant and HOU (Nephrology) at Batra Hospital. He runs his own clinic Kidney care clinic in Safdarjung Development Area, New Delhi. With 21 years of huge experience, he possesses specialty in the treatment of various types of kidney diseases. He holds expertise in dialysis, haemodialysis, continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis, C.R.R.T, plasmapheresis, and kidney transplantation. He also handled cases of blood pressure, diabetes, and hypertension with ease. With his expert hands, he has treated a number of patients with high success rate. He was a pioneer in establishing the Nephrology and Kidney Transplant Department at PGIMER & RML Hospital, New Delhi.He was able to start DM Nephrology course in the above-mentioned institutes. He has a very special interest in dialysis and kidney transplant.
