I was quite nervous as this was the first time I encountered a gynae problem. But all my panic and worry disappeared when I met the lovely pretty mother like Doctor. She has an immense knowledge rather would say it's portrayed in her decades and decades of experience. She is a great counsellor too. An aura of positivity around her. I am looking forward for the treatment and I am certain like she cured others who faced gynae problems. She would cure me too. Thank You lovely Doctor.. Regards Ishani
Dr. Sadhana explained very clearly what will happen before , during and after the procedure which many doctors don’t explain. I found it reassuring to know what will happen to my body. I will share my experience of the procedure once it is done. So far very happy .
Dr. Kala is the among the most compassionate doctors I have consulted. She gave me enough time and listened to my issue patiently. I did not feel any discomfort at all in her presence opening up about anything. Her experience shows in her diagnosis, examination and methods. This was my first visit with her and I met several ladies there who talked highly of her. They have consulted her for various types of gynaecological issues. I am continuing to see her and I feel confident that she is the right doctor for me. Thank you so much, Dr Kala.

A: Gynaecology is the medical specialization that deals with the female reproductive system. Hence, a Gynaecologist is a doctor who specializes in the health and the problems of the female reproductive system that includes the vagina, ovaries, uterus and breasts. Additionally, gynaecologists are also trained in Obstetrics and hence can deal with pregnancy and child birth too.
Q: Is there a difference between Gynaecologist & Obstetrician?
A: Where a Gynaecologist deals with the health and wellbeing of the female reproductive system, an Obstetrician specializes in pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum care. A Gynaecologist is trained in Obstetrics too. Hence, when a woman is pregnant, she can either consult a Gynaecologist or an Obstetrician, but for issues related to the female reproductive system, she should consult with a Gynaecologist.

A: Gynaecologist: 1. Dilation and Curettage (D&C) – The uterine lining is removed either by suction or with a curette. 2. Hysteroscopy– A hysteroscopy treats minor conditions inside the uterus in a non-invasive manner. Obstetrician: 1. Normal delivery - An Obstetrician helps in childbirth. 2. C-section – In case of any complications, the Obstetrician operates on the patient to ensure safe childbirth.
Q: Does a Gynaecologist/Obstetrician treat infertility in women?
A: Yes, a Gynaecologist/Obstetrician is trained to deal with infertility and related health issues in women. Consulting a Gynaecologist can be a great way to understand and evaluate the reason for infertility and explore the various avenues of treatment available. In case of infertility in women, you should consult with your Gynaecologist/Obstetrician, who will then refer to a specialist if required.
Q: How often should females visit a Gynaecologist/Obstetrician?
A: In general, females are advised to visit their Gynaecologist/Obstetrician at least once a year.
