Dr. Prashant Saxena is a specialist in Respiratory and chest diseases,Interventional Pulmonology, Critical care & Sleep Medicine. Prashantunderwent ICU Fellowship training in Westmead and Liverpool Hospitals,Sydney, Australia. He is an M.D IN respiratory medicine and also holds theprestigious European Diploma in Intensive care (EDIC, Europe), Europe)Fellow college of chest physicians (FCCP, USA), European diploma in adultrespiratory medicine (EDARM, Europe).He has undergone training inInterventional Pulmonology from Greece, Thoracoscopy from France andPediatric Bronchoscopy from Italy. He has undergone Executive managementprogramme in health (EMPH) from Virginia University, USA. Due to his keeninterest in infection control, he has developed simple but effectiveinfection prevention bundle protocols which have significantly reducedhospital acquired infections rates and antibiotic cost. He has developedand implemented Antibiotics Stewardship programs in order to preventemergence of Antibiotics resistance & decrease preventable hospitalassociated infections and cost of treatment. He introduced the concept ofRapid Response Team for patients in order to decrease the numbers ofunexpected events in the hospital. He has many publications andpresentations credited to his name. He is a teacher for IDCCM (IndianDiploma in Critical Care) and an Examiner, Teacher & Supervisor for MRCP(UK), Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom. He is activelyinvolved in organizing community health programs, CME’S, workshops & healthawareness talks in India & abroad. He has received many prestigiousawards includingthe Budda peace award,Dr BR Ambedkar prerna samman,Pulmonary and criticalcare specialist of the year,Best Pulmonologist of North India and many more.
