Dr. Gauranga Saikia

Dr. Gauranga Saikia has been practicing Laparoscopic/Minimal Access surgery for more than a decade. He has several fellowships in Minimal Access and Advanced laparoscopic Surgery including from the coveted National Board of Examinations recognized by Medical Council of India, and has been trained and mentored by some of the pioneers and authorities in Minimal Access, Gastrointestinal, Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery. He is amongst the few minimal access gastrointestinal surgeons in the country performing Single Incision Laparoscopic Surgery or Scarless Laparoscopic Surgery/Scarless Gallbladder Surgery and he has special interest in the field of Advanced laparoscopic hernia, colorectal, anti-reflux surgery (for reflux, GERD and Hiatus hernia), Bariatric and Metabolic Abdominal wall reconstruction surgery, Bilio-pancreatic and Spleen surgeries, Laser Proctology (including Laser for Piles, Fissure, Fistula and Pilonidal Sinus) and Suture less Circumcision. Passionate about patient care, he is particularly focused on connecting and communicating with the patient with compassion.
