My father is having nasopharyngeal cancer. Before visiting MAX , Shalimar Bagh, we had visited BLK super speciality hospital where it was diagnosed but my father was not satisfied after meeting the HOD of radiation therapy at BLK super speciality hospital . Since it was hard to believe, we were referred MAX hospital, Shalimar Bagh. After meeting the Dr.Sumit and talking to him for the first time, my father was so satisfied that he wanted to start the treatment from here only. Dr. Sumit is not just a doc. but a family to me. After meeting him I realised that my father is in good hands and he will recover soon. There had been many a times when my father got so stubborn during the course of treatment but he only listened to him. SUMIT sir was the only one who always sorted all of my problems as if it's his own. He treated and took care of my father as his own elder brother. He always boosted not only my father but me too. I called him at any time of the day with a query but he always reverted. After meeting him, my father gets positivity. My father had successfully completed the radiotherapy treatment and the credit goes to Sumit sir. Now my father is having only chemotherapy but he himself feels recovered . Even now at times whenever I have a doubt into my head I just contact him and he always revert. He is so compassionate, friendly, super smart and most importantly super caring . I have no words to express my gratitude towards Dr. Sumeet who is a wonderful, compassionate radiation oncologist at Max Super Specialty Hospital Shalimar Bagh. He is a caring, a gem of a person who is always ready to help you with whatever you ask him. I called him at anytime of the day without having second thoughts and he would happily clear my doubts. I completed my radiation therapy successfully without any discomfort or pain, all the credits go to Dr. Sumeet.

First of all, a very keen observer and a even better listener.

He is through and patient when it comes to understanding the patient's history.

No doubt about his knowledge of his subject that is radiation oncology.

He empathises with patient, and once he understands the phyche/mental state of patient he discusses the case I detail with him or with only attendant.

And the best part is he never attends the phone while attending patients.

Now, when it come to knowledge on the subject, he is a team player, and consults surgeon,.medicine and other relevant deptt. As and when needed.

I definately recommend Max's Shalimar Bagh Unit for onco treatment as under the guidance of Dr. Harit and the state of the art facilities. Me and above all my dad (patient) was highly satisfied.

Dr Sumeet is a wonderful doctor. He is honest, transparent and handles patients with utmost care. I have referred many colleagues and friends who wanted a consultation / treatment around cancer and radiation, and Dr Sumeet has helped all of them with his knowledge and skills. Best part is he would give you the best advice saving efforts and money you would otherwise spent on tens of unnecessary testing which is a norm now a days.
