I had met 4 doctors before finally meeting Dr. Shakuntla Kumar. The difference is when I visited other doctors they talked sweetly, gave a high level description of the whole issue and recommended umpteen tests from the diagnostic center of their choice and finally the money they will charge for the process with no upper ceiling to the amount and create a sense of urgency, BUT when I met Dr. Shakuntla she did not ask for any report/test, instead did the first hand diagnosis herself, explained the issue patiently in detail and in a way that sounded compassionate for ignorant people (like us) explained why what is suggesting is the best option. We were convinced without an ounce of doubt. Oh yes, fees! She didn't say a word about it. Fees was reasonable for the process but care and professionalism was what convinced us. She doesn't see a patient as ATM but as a human being and gives every person the due respect and care they deserve. She is a perfect person for the nature of her work. Respect for her!

Since this was our first child, we were unaware of what we were getting into. Dr. Shakuntla constantly reassured me by giving my husband and me detailed education of what was happening both to my body and emotions. Every step of the way, we knew we were in good hands.
She made herself very approachable and available to me. Her passionate way of interacting with her patients made us become very faithful in her approach. She is compassionate, thoughtful, dedicated to providing the best patient care.The months leading up to the big day were full of questions and concerns, but were handled so well by her.Her calm demeanor and positive aura helped create a tranquil environment during this once in a lifetime event.
