Dr Rahul Sharma is working at Fortis Hospital Shalimar Bagh, as Associate Consultant in the department of Neurosurgery. He has got over 8 years of experience in the field of Neurosurgery. He has vast experience in treating Craniofacial and Spinal Trauma cases, Craniospinal Bullet Injuries, Brain and Spinal Tumors, Minimally Invasive Brain and Spine Surgeries, Cervical Disc Replacement Surgeries, Spine Fixation Surgeries. His areas of subspeciality interest are Functional Neurosurgery, Stereotactic Surgeries, CV Junction Surgeries, Minimally Invasive Brain and Spine Surgeries, Pediatric Neurosurgeries and Vascular Neurosurgery.He has joined this institution from RaaviMultispeciality Hospital, Pathankot. Prior to this, he worked in Max Superspeciality Hospital, Maharaja Agarsen Hospital and Army Hospital (R & R) New Delhi. He obtained his Diplomate of National Board in Neurosurgery from Army Hospital (R & R) New Delhi. There he had extensive exposure of Functional and Stereotactic surgeries, Neuronavigation surgery, various Brain and Spine trauma surgeries, Aneurysm and AVM surgeries, various Brain and Spine tumor surgeriesand Pediatric neurosurgeries. He has also assisted various Gamma Knife Surgery cases during his stay at Army Hospital (R & R) New Delhi.He has undertaken numerous courses in his field and attended various National and State level conferences. He is active member of Neurological Society of India and Neurosurgical Society of India.
