Not all superheroes wear cape... that's what Dr. Praveen Pandey is for me...A Superhero ! He's been my savior not once but twice. I'll share my recent story. I inhaled chlorine gas while cleaning from household cleaners that resulted in inhalation of toxic fumes and resulted in chlorine poisoning. Being asthmatic, it threw me off balance and I had a bad episode which could have been fatal if it weren't for Dr. Praveen's timely response. *** ********* *** ********* *** there's no way I can pay him back for his humanity as he did it over phone without any fees. I took my mother for checkup today at Max Patparganj emergency. I was under severe duress as my mom was really in a bad condition. I drove my vehicle and got admitted at Max Patparganj on this doctor's advise for Covid. I was not managed well. * *** *** ***** ****** ** *** ******* **** **** **** ** ****** ****** ********* The doctor convinced me that I don't need oxygen and took away the nasal oxygen prong which was suggested by the duty doctor. I was specifically told not to sleep in prone position if it is not comfortable ******* **** ****** ******** * ***** **** ***** ** *** ***** ********** Also steroids were started on the first day of my admission. *** ***** ******** ** ********* **************Within 3 days I ended up in the ICU for 12 days. * ******** * ******** acquired infections in the lung which prolonged my stay in the ICU. It caused immense mental stress to the family and there was a day when my family thought that I'd be no more based on the daily feedback given. A special word on the daily feedback too * **** **** ******* **** ********** the doctors said that I was on the edge. I could have been managed better. * *** ***** *** ***** ***** ** ********** ***** ****** ** ***** *** ******** **** **** **** ****** Even after discharge the medication that has been given costs a ton. Doctors have to be sensitive to the populace they are treating. Not everyone can afford costly medicines and novel treatments like immunoglobins which were given to me at a high price. More than the cost, it was touch and go for my life.
