HI Neetu Khanna We went through your records again to see your case. You got yourself operated for Lasik in 2018 elsewhere. By examining your case record your optic nerve head was suspicious of glaucoma (disc suspect). It is mandatory to rule out glaucoma at slightest of doubt as glaucoma is a disease which can cause irreversible vision loss and if not detected in time can lead to complete vision loss and blindness. It was clearly explained to you regarding the investigation to rule out any optic nerve damage. So few investigations were advised to you to rule out the disease regarding proper examination and reports were not looked into. You have been examined by dilating your pupil. Two of your investigations (RNFL thickness, ganglion cell thickness) which require dilation of eye were done on day one of your visit, other investigation done was central corneal thickness. And it was explained to you by doctor personally. For visual field test you were called on second day. In first attempt you were not able to perform this test properly (high false negative error) and I advised you to perform repeat visual field test on some other day. I clearly remember explaining to you that all yours reports do not match and we need to repeat visual field test. So I looked into your reports giving attention to every detail. There was no charge for repeat visual field test. On your request we perform the test on same day, which came out to be normal. Total 5 test were done in 2 days. You should be thankful that you are not suffering from glaucoma rather than feeling sorry and blaming doctor. We have seen people going blind because glaucoma was not diagnosed at proper time. These investigations will also serve as base line for future reference to compare your eye health. If I would have not advised you investigation and unfortunately, latter you have been diagnosed with glaucoma you will blaming me for not advising me investigation. Regarding wait for 2.30 hours test itself takes 30 minutes and they were done twice for you. As a doctor it is my responsibility to advise my patients as per there condition and few of critical diseases require specific investigation.
