Dr. Kavita Nagpal

Dr. Kavita Nagpal is a consultant psychiatrist and psychotherapist with over 7 years of clinical, research and teaching experience. She pursued MD psychiatry from one of the most prestigious institutes in India, National Institute of Mental Health and Neuroscience (NIMHANS), Bangalore, which is an institute of national importance. After completing MD psychiatry she worked as a senior resident in the department of psychiatry at Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research(PGIMER) Chandigarh and in the department of psychiatry at Institute of Human Behavior and Allied Sciences(IHBAS) Delhi. Thereafter she worked as a specialist at Employee State Insurance(ESI) Hospital, Delhi. She also qualified the Diplomate of National Board (DNB) exam in the discipline of psychiatry. Dr. Kavita Nagpal has vast experience in various domains of psychiatry which includes adult psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry, marital and psychosexual issues, consultation-liaison psychiatry(wherein psychiatric problems occurring in patients with comorbid medical illnesses are dealt with) and community psychiatry as she has worked in various prestigious institutes. She has also written various articles and book chapters published in both national and international journals. Dr. Kavita Nagpal is a young compassionate psychiatrist who aspires to deliver quality mental health services to all and to reduce stigma and spread awareness about mental health.
