Dr. Dherandra Kumar (PhD)

Qualified and registered clinical & child psychologist in Delhi and NCR. He is director of Psyindia and and he works as a consultant with Apollo Hospital, Noida. He heads CCDE, Apollo Clinic, Faridabad. He is associated with department of psychology, Jamia Millia Islamia (a central university) in New Delhi. He holds the position of program officer-cum-clinical psychologist at the department for stress and examination anxiety intervention and research unit. At the department, he trains the advanced diploma in counselling psychology scholars in psychological assessment and intervention for psychological and health related problems including childhood disorders. He is fellow member of association of counselling psychologists and executive council member of Indian association of clinical psychologists.He is a RCI registered clinical psychologist and holds m. Phil in clinical psychology from university of Delhi with two years full time internship at Institute Of Human Behaviour And Allied Sciences (IHBAS). He holds a masters degree in psychology with specialisation in clinical psychology from g. K. University (Uttrakhand). The university felicitated him by gold medal for scoring highest marks in masters. After which, he did post-masters diploma in counselling psychology from JMI (Delhi).He is regularly consulted by media organisations like NDTV, time, Times Of India, Zee News, Hindustan, India today, child, etc as an expert. He has been invited to deliver lectures at more than a dozen of institutes of higher learning in the area of his expertise. He has conducted various workshops for schools and colleges as a clinical and child psychologist. He has delivered lectures in various national & international conferences and seminars. He is a resource person for Naco’s Training Programs for ICTC & STI counsellors. Dherandra Kumar has conducted workshops on child and adolescent issues at JNV for adolescent education program of ministry of HRD, NCERT and United Nations Population Fund.
