He completed his MD ( internal medicine ) from AFMC Pune and further underwent 2 years long training in Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology from Sanjay Gandhi PGIMS Lucknow.Dr Bhakuni has a distinguished service with the Indian Armed Forces for 36 years and has amassed a wealth of clinical experience as a Rheumatologist of repute for last 20 years.Beside working as Rheumatologist in tertiary care hospitals in Pune and Lucknow he has also headed the department of Rheumatology in prestigious Army Hospital R & R Delhi for 6 years and trained many young Rheumatologists for their DNB degrees in Rheumatology.He has proficiency in intra articular injections to provide quick relief to the arthritis patients.
