Dr. Anil Sharma

Dr. Anil Sharma relocated to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi from UK in 1994. He was associated with thefounding of the Department of Minimal Access Surgery since its inception in 1996. Dr. Anil Sharma has aspecial interest in surgical management of Abdominal wall hernias, a subject on which he has conductednumerous operative workshops, lectured extensively globally and contributed several chapters in Internationalpublications. He is a keen academician and prolific writer with several landmark scientific articles inInternational publications. Dr Anil Sharma designed the Basic Medical Writing Course for Surgeons, a purelyvoluntary initiative to introduce Surgeons to effective Medical writing and presentation. As President of AsiaPacific Hernia Society, he conceptualized and created Hernia Essentials, a comprehensive Hernia trainingCourse, primarily based on International guidelines on management of hernia.
