Dr. Abhishek Sharma

Dr. Abhishek Sharma has finished his MBBS from Europe and has a valid European medical license. He has worked in Texas Heart Institute, Texas, USA in Intervention Cardiology before choosing dermatology as his subject for MD. Not only is he a gold medalist in his MD in Dermatology, Venereology & Leprosy (DVL), from Uttar Pradesh, India, but he also holds the prestigious 1st rank of merit for scoring the maximum marks in the final exam session of the entire university. Dr. Abhishek Sharma was awarded Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi scholarship for his research in 2015 and his thesis was awarded the Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists & Leprologist (IADVL) national scholarship for his work on cutaneous TB in 2017.He was one of the active members in the WHO team for designing guidelines for diagnosing and treating cutaneous (skin) TB which have been published by the WHO and distributed all over the world. He has more than 15 publications in national and international journals and has authored a couple of books chapters also. For philanthropic pursuits, he visits Vrindawan and holds a free OPD twice a month. This OPD is completely free of cost and whenever possible free medicines are also distributed!
