Z line is above diaphragm
Hi, Last year I had upper endoscopy. In my repost I see Z line index at 36 cm and diaphragm about 37 cm. Can Z line index be above diaphragm by 1 cm . I see in forums it should be inline or below. Is it Ok? Please let me know.

Yes Z line represents lower esophageal sphincter and it has to be below diaphragm.  If Z line is above diaphragm then it is sliding hiatus hernia. Pts have symptoms of reflux . Its called gastro esophageal reflux disease. It has to be treated.
