Hi, is it safe to use Xigduo xr? My hba1c is 6.7 ..post prandial is hooting high. Many a times upto 180-200..fasting is always below 110...once I start using Xigduo, can I be off it after some time? Is it a very strong drug to use at this age? I have been using glycomet 500xr 2 tikes daily but have now been recommended Xigduo xr 10/1000. It has been prescribed to lose weight and control pp level...please suggest...

If you are overweight it should benefit you even more. Do take extra fluids (water) and you may experience more frequent urination after starting this drug. Also your diabetologist must have advised you other minor precautions regarding hygiene so follow that for best results.
