The procedure is safe nd vl not affect ur vision...it is indicative of underlying systemic disease...so u need to get few blood tests to know the root cause..nd den treat the systemic cause along with local treatment of the lesion so that it won't recur
Next Steps
consult oculoplasty surgeon

Xanthelasma removal is a safe and quick procedure and can be done on outpatient basis. However some blood tests should be done to rule out the cause of it so that it doesn't recur.
