Do I have pericardial effusion. 1st x ray is 2 months back 2 nd x ray is 4 days back.recent one shows heart big compared to 2 months back xray of heart.do I have pericardial effusion. Plz reply

X ray shows pleural effusion left side.It is difficult to detect pericardial effusion in a chest xray.You may need to do a echo to detect pericardial effusion.

PLEURAL TAPPING NEED TO BE DONE UNDER ULTRASOUND GUIDED. SAMPLE TO BE SENT FOR LABS FOLLOWED BY ANTIBIOTICS.

As per xray scan Suggestive of Lower respiratory tract infection Most likely right side lower lungs . Which causes enlarged cardiac shadow. Get 2d echo and Hrct chest. For rulling out effusion get USG chest done . And consult with your Doctor.
