When x Ray shows on the nerve there are chances of nerve damage while surgical removal of wisdom tooth so pre operative evaluation by oral and maxillofacial surgeon is imperative regarding risk benefit analysis of consequences of removal of tooth or doing coronectomy in which crown removal is done and roots are left in place after removal of pulpal tissue in the roots
