Will my egg release or rupture?

Asked for Female, 25 Years

My period date was on 10th but it's been 1 week late and still I didn't get my period and also pregnancy was negative.. so I consulted my doctor today and she told me that the egg was not released yet.. and the size of the follicles are 24mm and 16mm.. she gave me hcg5000 injection for egg release.. so "will the eggs release or rupture?" is my question

Yes egg release and ruptured of follicles is same thing if it is not an empty follicle
