Hello. I am a fully-grown adult who doesn't feel like a "grown-up". I was never attached to the two mentally abusive parents in the home, and was somewhat inept at establishing contact; forming relationships; and communicating with peers for many years. Even at 60 years old now, at the core I still feel like an under-developed 25 year-old much of the time: what the hell?!
My fundamental question is: What happened to me?
.
--Much appreciated.

Hello
May be because of you dysfunctional childhood you could have many unresolved conflicts in you subconscious or unconscious mind. Because of that its difficult for you to move on in life mentally. You need to work in ur core issues. Consult a mental health professional and undergo psychotherapeutic sessions. It will help you to understand issues neutrally and resolve the same.
