I was suffering from constant low grade fever(99.4F) and sore throat since15days.Doctor suggests me WIDAL test.My WIDAL test is positive.But since past three days neither I m having fever nor sore throat.Only i felt a lot of weakness in my body especially after doing some work.I m presently taking Crocin and Doxcef-o as prescribed by doctor earlier.Am i suffering from Typhoid?I m confused coz from past three days i hv no symptoms except a lot of weakness in my body.Am i suffering frm Typhoid?

aftr sm time natural immunity develops against typhoid..since ur asymptomatic u don't need treatment..bt before dat u must tell me ur widal titre which u din mention..if its still high u might need furthur treatment till it cms down
nw u shud knw..typhoid bacteria stays in ur biliary system for long and sheds off in ur stool so any contamination n unhygienic practice wud lead u to infect odr..this state whr person him self is asymptomatic bt cn spread infection to odr normal person is called carrier state.

Typhoid fever is a systemic disease caused by Salmonella serotype Typhi.
SX â Fever, HA, arthralgia, pharyngitis, constipation, anorexia, abd pain.
PE â
Skin: pink, blanching lesions (rose spots) appear in crops on the chest and abdomen.
Abd: splenomegaly.
TX â Abx: Ceftriaxone 1gm IM and Ciprofloxacin 500mg PO BID x 10-14 days. Severe: add prednisone 20-40 mg PO BID x 3 weeks. Nutrition Prevention - ⢠Hygiene and sanitation. Live Vaccine. Typhoid Polysaccharide Vaccine.
