White spot in baby's heart - Tiffa scan
My wife completed 20 weeks and running in 21 weeks of pregnancy. She went with tiffa scan in that we got a report saying that baby's heart having a white spot. Is this cause any issue to the baby's heart? Why this will appear ? Could you please clarify me.

Its called as echogenic focus in heart Its a soft marker for some genetic diseases like Down syndrome Its not a disease of heart Just like we have mole on face , its just a spot in heart. If its associated with some abnormality in level two anamoly scan , you should consult genetic specialists. Isolated echogenic focus have no significance So chill ..!!
Next Steps
If level two scan is normal apart from white spot No further tests required
