White patches on tonsils

I am having white patches on tonsils since one month. No pain but hoarseness when speak and sour mucus. What it could be?? How to remove these white patches. These are not tonsil stones.

White patch on tonsil can be due to many causes like spretococcal infection, candid infection oral thrush, infectious mononeucleosis, Apthus ulcer, diptheric patch etc. Treatment differs with the patch. So proper consultation is important
