In any case home made cereal are best for your kid. You can add roasted nuts, ragi, moong dal ground form to add to the nutritive value. Regards Dr Neha Pandey MBBS MD DNB FMUHS FISPN Team PediaCare Clinic Malad west

Depends on the baby's birth weight. Ideally the baby should double the birth weight by 5 months and triple by 1 year (Example: 3 kg baby will be 6 kg at 5 months and avg 10 kg at 1 year) Your baby's weight is fine as per age. Homemade cereal is best. Weaning can be done with home made food such as dal rice, khidchi, fruit puree etc.

8 months can weight around 8 to 10bkg also, if the birth weight was around 2.5kg. Home made food always better than prepared outside food. Can give khichdi, curd rice, dalia, Raab, shira, boiled potatoes, seasonal fruits etc

Homemade cereal is best You can make any of the purees or porridge runny by adding breast milk or formula milk Thicker purees will help add calories Follow a routine to feed baby, , putting him in his chair, etc. Continue to breastfeed on demand
