Whether bone graft can be done
Can we do bone grafting for the tooth which wasn't extracted yet. I went to dentist for tooth gum pain in 47. He said I have bone loss and severe tartar calculus buildup surrounding the tooth and on occlusal surface. He said I can get SRP done on my entire mouth all teeth but tartar buildup only on couple of teeth. Went to oral surgeon for wisdom tooth extraction consultation. He said I need to remove that asap. he also checked this second molar. He pressed with fingers on this molar and it was so painful for that pressing. He pressed 4 spots and he said it was painful for me for 2 spots. And he said it shouldn't pain at all for pressing. He said something wrong on my tooth and told me to come back for extraction. Do I need to see Endodontist to ask if RCT possible or this tooth can't be saved? If tooth hurts for pressing means infection under the tooth? I extracted 46 last year only for same reason. It was hurting for pressure but nothing seen on CBCT scan. do I need to ext 47?

My suggestion is to give supportive periodontal therapy to 47 , and replacement of 46.
