Monkey pox is a viral disease, with symptoms similar to small pox but less severe. Close contact with the infected person is the most significant risk factor for infection. (Contact with lesions, body fluids, contaminated materials)
Can also spread with close contact of more than 2 to 3 hours with infected squirrels, rodents and monkeys.
