Hello there. I can understand your concern. Bilirubin is a normal product produced by the body when heme is metabolised. It's in normal range. Is its very high, then it leads to jaundice which is the yellowish discolouration of the skin, mucous membranes and sclera of eye. Best regards. Dr. Anil Kumar Jain. Bangalore.
