What happened if I give her the glycomet and what happens when not given. She is not a diabetic. And for a long time this medicine can be given to child or for a short time of period. I taken care of all her meals she is doing swimming in the morning and dancing in the evening. But reduce only 1.5 kg in a month. Not doing anything hard work. I am very confused what to do.

Why you want to use Metformin which is anti diabetic medicine for a child who is non diabetic?? Even if child is diabetic that is type I which is treated by insulin only.I don't know where from you will get all unnecessary doubts. If she is overweight or obese go and meet a pediatrician or endocrinologist first. Obesity will have 100 causes. Obesity is not diabetes always. For your baby's sake follow doctors advise. They will do all the workup required.
