What are hand pains symptoms

Asked for Male, 13 Years

My son aged 13 an acitve football player is diagnosed with hand pains. What are the symptoms of it? I mean he had never complained of any major pain always minor ones which use to subside after matches. Please help to know more about it. How serious is the problem?
