Weak legs uses cane
My sister-in-law is 83. She is small size. Went to local Dr. She fell 4 times. She has diabetes. She walks with a cane. The Dr. said nothing wrong with knee's or hips.

Important to check her BP, if she has low BP it could contribute to falls along with loss of sensation from diabetes.  make her wear non skid socks becuase frequent falls can cause fractures easily at this age as bones are brittle. Make sure she drinks adequate amount of fluids, if she has low BP compression stockings for legs will help.

Dear , dont worry Consult once orthopaedic surgeon then still fall down consult once neurophysician to rule out why she is felling down ,.assuming fall is not because of low sugar

83 years old patient has more tendency to fall. Due to some postural changes and imbalance on walking, she has diabetic neuropathy,
