Control of saliva or control of drooling of saliva can be achieved at 2 years of age, till then watering from mouth is common.
Not to worry for it and nothing to do as such.
Bitter face after burps is due to reflux. Between stomach and food pipe there is a valve, which is weak for child below 6 months.
So after feeding, there may be reflux and it causes irritation to the food pipe due to its acid nature and that cause bitter face.
To avoid it:
-burping for 30 minutes after feed
-to keep the child upright especially after feeds
-to keep a pillow below the head and shoulders so upper par of body is at an angle with rest of body to decrease the reflux
