Want to ask for a specific treatment .
For a really long time I've wanted to ask a psychiatrist fora specific treatment called ketamine therapy ive been taking escitalopram clonazepam olanzapine and other ssri antidepressant since 2-3 years i left it for a while earlier and then continued, these medicines take so much time to work with no assurance to fix me properly almost like gambling that will it comeback or not if i stopped the medicines after completion or do i have to sustain these everlasting side effects and continue talking these medicines or deal with withdrawal and what not, i read alot about ketamine therapy on internet, i am very well aware that im not a doctor at all or study medicine im just a biology student in college, but i really have this gut feeling that ketamine can help me,i just afraid to ask that doctor might think this is a drug seeking behaviour by me or I'm trying to tell him to do his job or being oversmart or asking too much.i just want to be normal man! (where can i find ketamine in Delhi&₹₹?)

IV ketamine therapy is evidence based treatment for Depression. However it's effect is very short lasting and needs to be maintained with other antidepressants. You can consult nearest centre where they give it. Good luck

Ketamine is a newly emerging modality for treatment resistant depression, severe suicidal ideations Opinion for the same will be taken by your treating psychiatrist, whether you fit the profile. Although the number of psychiatrists prescribing ketamine therapy ( oral / IV ) are still limited. Ketamine is not available OTC, strict protocol for its prescription as well as monitoring
Next Steps
Kindly have a frank conversation with your psychiatrist regarding ketamine, accordingly he / she will start the same or refer you to another psychiatrist who prescribes ketamine therapy

It's understandable to seek new treatments like ketamine therapy, especially after your experiences with other medications. Ketamine has specific indications and provides temporary relief for certain conditions. It’s important to discuss this openly and honestly with your psychiatrist, focusing on your symptoms and treatment history, rather than feeling worried about how your request might be perceived. A thorough discussion can help determine if ketamine therapy is suitable for you and address any concerns about drug-seeking behavior.
