Walking, speaking issue
Recently my mother was not able to walk properly and was also not able to speak properly. This all started after she had severe cough and fever. Strangely she had very low BP during that period. Initially, she was under medication with vertin. Later when conditions didn't improve we took MRI for confirming any blood clots. There were minor strokes seen in MRI scan report. Now she has been under medication with atorva & plavix. Even after three weeks of medication her condition doesn't seem to improve. She seems to be weak and her hand co ordination is also poor. Also her BP & Sugar are well under control. Could anyone suggest how to proceed ?

Hello there. You delayed seeking medical help, if you had taken her earlier, her condition would have been better. Because of the stroke, the neurons which are dead are dead, it takes a lot of time to form new neural connection which are not guaranteed. You can talk to your physician regarding levitracetam for this patient. Regards
