Walking after open heart surgery
I'm currently 4 months past open heart surgery for triple bypass. Since my doctor encouraged me to walk, I've gradually increased the duration and distance and now walking totally around 9.5 km per day. Is it advisable and safe to do this much of walking 4 months after open heart surgery?

If you are able to walk that distance without any discomfort..then you may continue by your choice. But you may restrict it to 4 to 5 km.. that should be enough and do some other form of light aerobic exercise as tolerated.
