Vitiligo is an autoimmune condition where the body defense cells start acting the pigment producing cells in the body and destroy them. So the colour in that area starts disappearing. It is a tendency of the skin and can be treated but unfortunately not cured. What you need to know is that the even treatment wise there are certain areas of the body which are resistant to treatment...especially the lips, nipples, genitals and the tips of fingers and toes etc...plus if your condition is actively spreading then only creams do not work , oral medicines are needed . Maybe this is why you aren't getting a good response.. So a thorough assessment of what type of vitiligo you have, is it stable or not etc will determine the treatment and the outcome of the disease. Do not get frustrated... visit your dermatologist and have a one on one discussion with the various modes of treatment. It takes a while to come to a concensus but you will at least be more aware of the steps you need to take for further imrovement.
