Active vitamin b12 for my daughter is 27 pmol/l. Is this the correct range. She is 12 years old with 50.kgs weight. Can she take quicobol strips once a month as maintenance dose . Thanks ,

B12 deficiency is due to avoiding animal sources in the food. Common in Vegan diet. For deficiency B12 can be taken orally for 2 weeks or by injection once in month. Egg non vegetarian foods contain vitamin B12. Alcohol and worm infestation and drugs can cause deficiency.
