Visual disturbances
I have been seeing flashes of light in my peripheral vision that last maybe 15 minutes. They are in a zig zag half circle shape once it moves to where I can see it better. I've read that these are ocular migraines? I did start a new birth control and the day before I got my period, I had the aura for the first time. I don't get a headache after the aura though. I have had this twice now. A week apart from each other.

Hello Headache usually follows aura. These zigzag circles are suggestive of floaters These appear due to condensation of collagen fibrils present in the vitreous cavity of eye These are benign and don't need treatment Having said that it is provisional diagnosis Kindly consult local ophthalmologist and get proper eye examination done Regards
