Viral Fever
Hello doctor, my name is Himanshu Gangwar & i live in vikaspuri, new delhi with my family. My 9 months old baby boy is suffering from viral fever since from past 2 days. We have given him a syrup named as GUDSEF and along with it FEVAGO but nothing is happening. We are really worried as the fever goes up & down. Thanks

Most fevers need only paracetamol, the Fevago you are already giving . It reduces the fever for 5 to 6 hours. It is normal for such viral fevers to last for 3 to 4 days. However if the child has other types of fever, an antibiotic may be needed depending upon examination by a Pediatrician, and if a diagnosis still cannot be made , by a blood and urine test.
