Vestibular schwannoma 2.2cm
I am diagnosed with vestibular schwannoma of 2cm on my left side of the year. I have moderate sensoneural hearing loss. Can I go for gamma knife or cyber knife or micro surgery. Right now I am have only hearing loss and I don't have any other symptoms. Please suggest Few are saying to go for radiotherapy as it have zero complications and few suggestion is micro surgery. Not sure what to do. I am just 28, wanted to have best treatment which won't affect the quality of my life. Much appreciate your response. Thanks

As per the history given by you, the tumour is not causing much symptoms. Considering your age and the co dition, radiosurgery will be a better option, however I would like to see the scan

Since the lesion is less than 2.5 cm size, you can go for gamma knife radiosurgery. It's not that it's curative, it will shrink the tumour over a span of time. The lesion can increase in size after radiosurgery also.  Surgery is the defenitive procedure but has high risk of complications compared with other procedures. contact online for details
