Having nystagmus means u have a pathology in the balance system, if the nystagmus is horizontal it means a vestibular dysfunction if torsional, it means a problem with the central balance mechanism, get a thorough consultation to properly diagnose and treat it. As balance disorders are a very complex domain, a thorough history is of utmost importance, supplemented by some examination and few tests will clinch the diagnosis.
