I wouldn't call it a disease. Maxillary(upper) lateral incisors are one of the teeth which is commonly affected by microdontia(smaller than normal tooth). Microdontia affecting Lateral incisors result in peg shapped or pointed incisors. It has a hereditary tendency. Depending on the situation these can be corrected by composite veneers, ceramic veneers or crowns.
