In our routine ENT practice, the most common cause for lump sensation in throat is LPR caused by acid reflux from the stomach. Many other condition including cancer can produce similar symptoms.

Avoid spicy and fast food, smoking and alcohol which triggers LPR. Go to bed after 2 to 3 hrs. after dinner.
