hello. food has no relationship to varicocele .if you are going for surgery or had surgery ,follow soft diet for few days or as your dr told you. also masterbation too does not worsen your varicocele or has relationship to masterbation.
Next Steps
do not wear too tight underwear but give good support to testis when you are working ie standing or walking etc, ie veins get dialated when you stand and walk and can cause dragging ache( discomfort) as i told you if varicocele is causing you discomfort or low sperm count you can be cured by a minor surgery by a good general surgeon. surgery for varicocele is very advanced now and is very safe. medical treatment by any medicines ie herbal meds etc  cant cure varicocele, if anyone told you so.
Health Tips
if you still need more details you can chat online before you go to a surgeon.
