Varicocele
I have had dull recurring pain in my right testicle and sometimes the right groin for the past 2 years. I have been diagnosed with grade 1 varicocele on the right testicle, which is quite rare, after a Doppler test. The urologist said surgery isn't required right now and has asked me to wear tight underwear to support the testes and reduce pain. My semen analysis showed ninety one million/ml sperm count and 85% mobility. He has prescribed the following medicines : Hey Forte plus and Tegrital. He said he won't prescribe any pain killers. My questions : 1. Varicocele on the right only is rare. Shouldnt he investigate further if there are some other reasons for the pain on the right. 2. Are these medicines effective for my condition as they haven't helped a lot. Taking them for 20 days now.

Hello, I understand your feeling and your concern towards you health. I would like to say that he is an urologist and we cannot question his experience. Because what ever he do that has a meaning. There is no need of surgery to grade 1 varicocoel. And the pain is because eof the varicocoel itself there is no need of any further investigation because it is already diagnosed. He has bot given you any pain killers because that grade 1 varicocoel. Will regress by themselves and he had only applied wait and watch policy. On you and if that is not working out with you then why don't You have a follow up with him. Thank you
