Hello doctor my husband is taking oxetal 300 mg(1 tab in the morning and 2 tab in the night).He had 3 episode of seizures during his school and college days and is still continuing with oxetal 300mg.He is planning to take covid vaccination. Can he take the covid vaccination while taking oxetal? Is there any test that should be taken for him before taking the covid vaccine? If he can take the vaccination which covid vaccine should be taken

No contraindication to vaccine However dont miss medication on the day of vaccine And if he develops fever afterwards take paracetamol 500

He should take whichever vaccine is available. Though data are limited, no study has shown epilepsy as a contraindication to vaccination or any reaction to tab. Oxetal.
