Uterine fibroid !!
This is regarding my sister who is married for 1.5years now and does not have any kids. She does plan to have them in next one or two years. Recently she was found to have a uterine fibroid (5x6 cm) in near cervical region in the myometrial wall. It was an incidental finding during a screening. She have had dysmenorrhoea since her menarche. Can you suggest a future course of action as she does not want surgery at this point. She is willing to go for hysterectomy once she gets a child...Plz help

First things first- it would be ideal for your sister to not delay planning for pregnancy any further since she is already 30plus and also has a fibroid.
Next Steps
A 3D ultrasound or a MRI Pelvis will help delineate the exact location and size of fibroid and if it is affecting the cavity of the uterus.
Health Tips
As far as possible fertility specialist would want to avoid a surgery since your sister has not yet borne a child but it is equally important to know the merits of other conservative procedures like Uterine Artery Embolisation. Waiting could be another option, provided it does not increase her risk of infertility and/or complications during pregnancy.

Treatment depends on if fibroid is distorting the uterine cavity or disturbing position of Fallopian tubes. Get a hysterosalpingogram done. Depending on that, further treatment may be planned
