Using Minoxidil for hair loss safe?
Hi Doctor, I am facing hair loss for last couple of years. I am having male pattern baldness. I wish to know, whether it is safe to use Minoxidil topical solution. There are mixed views on using minoxidil before marriage as it will affect the reproduction elements. Also i heard there are side effects like chest pain and dry skin etc which will scare people while using. How to handle these too. I wish to get your response on this, still its a silly question, these are the common doubts which restrict people from using minoxidil. Hopeb this will help other people also. Thank you!

Androgenic alopecia is a genetic condition that can affect both men and women. Men with this condition, called male pattern baldness, can begin suffering hair loss as early as their teens or early 20s. It's characterized by a receding hairline and gradual disappearance of hair from the crown and frontal scalp. There are several treatment options available for androgenic alopecia.. Treatments will be planned taking into account multiple factors like stage of hair loss, age, etc
Next Steps
Minoxidil is generally very safe. But we need to see your exact area of concern and then decide. Minoxidil doesn't have any effect reproduction..

Hi. Don't worry,  minoxidil has no effects on "reproductive elements". Online views from non professionals are not true.  So beware before u choose to believe them. Would be happy to explain about advantages and disadvantages of use of minoxidil in detail to u. You could contact me at my clinic number (u can call via Google). Warm regards,  Dr Govind Suresh Mittal, Therapeia skin hair and ENT centre,  Bengaluru.
