Urinary Infection. Results different?

You may not have any urine infection. You should describe your symptoms first, whether you have dysuria or not. In some cases, pus cells can appear in urine in the absence of urine infection. Hormonal changes during pregnancy may cause pus cells in urine without any infection. Also, contamination of urine from vaginal discharge is possible, which can also cause pus cells in urine. Rarely, urine infection can be caused by TB, STDs, and fungal infections, in which pus cells appear in urine but urine culture shows no growth. Advice: Repeat the urine culture if you have persistent dysuria. If you don’t have any urinary symptoms, wait for delivery. Post-delivery, you can repeat the urine routine examination and culture. If pus cells persist despite the urine culture with no growth, get tested for STDs, fungus, and TB under the supervision of a nephrologist.
