Urgent query
My mum just recovered from pneumonia and she has a known history of hypertension . However as a part of followup test doctor suggested for CBC test . I thought of getting the entire body health checkup were her FBS was normal . However hb1ac1 is 6.5 and ABG is 140. One doctor said that it might be a diabetes whereas the other one said it's on border line. I am really worried since I lost my father because of diabetes only moreover I don't see any of the symptoms with here . Like frequent urination , thirst etc. please help

Do not panic the HB a1c level is borderline and diet control is a very good option. Rest we can check fasting blood sugar and random blood sugar. Regular exercise and sugar free diet will keep her healthy. Sorry for your father and take care of your mum any help you need you can consult me online.thanks

dear, the tests results are high which suggest diabetes. diabetes is a completely reversible condition if you make small changes to your diet and lifestyle. Please dont worry about it and put her on right diet. 1. only two meals a day ( 11am and 7pm) 2. avoid wheat and diary ( wheat has very high glycemic index and inflammatory in nature)

Hello , good evening. I can understand your concern for your mother's health. Nothing to worry be cool and relax first. I have gone through reports. Since FBS is normal ,there is no question of worrying about her HbA1c. Do one thing get her FBS AND PPBS WITH HBA1c once again and see the difference.
